Red, Red Roses.

Progress is being made.  All the stitching is done in Rajmahal Art Silk threads, which are rayon threads.  The stitches used for the roses are bullion knots, a french knot and lazy daisies.  For the ribbon cascades, stitches are stem, straight and french knots. There’s also a ‘sort of’ lazy daisy, where instead of one catching stitch there are two.

I still have to work on the top piece, which will have more roses and a central cartouche.  So, any ideas as to what it will be?

  1. Hi Heather!

Thanks for leaving a comment on my blog about the e-mail subs link not working. I’ve removed that now and added both the new ‘follow by e-mail’ sign up box and an RSS feed subs box. Hope that helps!=)
